Specialized Course Strands

  • Psychoacoustics & Acoustic Hardware Engineering (SPH4U-A / TEL4M & Prep Strands): Focuses on longitudinal wave physics, low-frequency carrier calibration (100 Hz sinusoidal baselines), operational amplifier active filter networks, and CNC-fabricated Helmholtz resonance cavities for environmental noise remediation. Junior modules for Grades 7–11 cover structural mechanics, wave dynamics, and transducer electronics.
  • Bio-Somatic Sensor Engineering & Telemetry (TPJ4M / SBI4U & Prep Strands): Explores autonomic nervous system telemetry, masseter EMG clenching sensors,  electrodermal micro-sweat activity (EDA), heat-sealed TPU pneumatic compression bladders with closed-loop PID control, and dual-Peltier solid-state thermal regulation. Junior pathways cover cellular biophysics, fluid mechanics, and non-invasive vitals tracking.
  • Decentralized Edge AI & Cybernetic Architecture (ICS4U / IDC4U & Prep Strands): Delivers practical training in local AI model inference on Neural Processing Units (NPUs), open-weights model quantization (FP32 to INT8/INT4), Python/Rust dialectical middleware, and physical electromechanical air-gaps (“Sanctuary Switch”) enforcing zero-knowledge privacy. Junior modules introduce visual block logic, text scripting, and microcontroller serial interfacing.
